The Federal Skilled Worker program (FSW)
Federal skilled workers (FSW) are chosen as permanent residents based on their ability to settle in Canada and take part in our economy. We assess them on their:

- work experience, and
- other factors that have been shown to help them prosper in Canada.
The rules to apply as an FSW can change from time to time without notice. Make sure you keep checking this site if you want to immigrate to Canada as an FSW.
The Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW)
The Quebec Immigration selection system is based on a human capital model so applicants do not require a job offer. You may be eligible to immigrate to Canada under the Quebec Skilled Worker, Quebec Experience Class, or Quebec Business / Investor categories.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Almost all of Canada’s provinces and territories can nominate people to immigrate to Canada. These people have the skills, education and work experience they need to contribute to the economy of that province or territory.
To apply under the Provincial Nominee Program, you must:
- be nominated by a specific Canadian province or territory, then
- apply to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to become a permanent resident of Canada.
Each participating province and territory has its own nomination guidelines. They can change without notice. You should check their websites for the most up-to-date information.
